Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are advanced restorations that fit completely over the top of tooth to repair damaged or decayed teeth. Dr. Julovich offers dental crowns crafted from a range of materials to meet any need. Strong, gold crowns may be recommended for molars, back teeth that absorb the bulk of pressure during chewing. For a more natural appearance and the durability of metal, porcelain fused to gold crowns may be preferable. Finally, for front teeth or cosmetic improvement, all-ceramic dental crowns may be the best option.

Fixed Bridges

Model of teeth with fixed bridges A fixed bridge restoration uses two dental crowns, one on each side, to support a replacement tooth. We can also use a fixed bridge to replace several consecutive missing teeth. The dental crowns are attached to healthy teeth on either side of the lost tooth or teeth to support the tooth replacement prosthetic, recreating your flawless smile line.

The Crown & Bridge Restoration Process

Patients who need dental crowns and fixed bridges should plan to visit our Zionsville dental office for two treatment appointments. During the initial visit, we will need to prepare the teeth by removing damaged tooth enamel and shaping the tooth to allow for the additional structure of the dental crown. Then, we take impressions that will be used by the lab to create a custom crown or bridge. Finally, we place a temporary restoration to protect your prepared teeth until we receive the final product from our lab. Once we receive your custom dental restoration, you’ll return to our practice to exchange your temporary for a custom crafted dental crown or fixed bridge.

Dental Implant Supported Crowns

A single dental implant and dental crown can be used to restore one lost tooth. A row of replacement teeth can be attached to an implant post on either end to recreate the missing teeth, leaving patients with flawless natural looking and functioning smiles that will last for decades.
